Red Ribbon Club

The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a voluntary on-campus intervention program for students in educational institutions. It aims to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention and control among the youth. The vision, mission, and objectives of the Red Ribbon Club, GC Chowari likely align with the broader goals of the RRC program.

Vision:To create a generation of informed and responsible youth equipped with knowledge and skills to prevent HIV/AIDS and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Mission:The Red Ribbon Club is dedicated to empowering students with accurate information, fostering a supportive environment, and promoting behavioral changes to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS and create a safer and healthier campus.

Objectives:

  • Raise Awareness: Increase understanding among students about the causes, transmission, prevention, and consequences of HIV/AIDS through educational campaigns, workshops, and seminars.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS and promote a non-discriminatory environment within the college and the broader community.
  • Behavior Change: Encourage positive behavior change among students through peer education, counseling, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
  • Support Services: Provide access to confidential counseling, testing, and support services for students who may be at risk or affected by HIV/AIDS.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with local communities through outreach programs, awareness events, and collaboration with other organizations.
